- Do a simple research about your destination prior to the travel. This applies especially if you are a tourist in a country. To avoid hassles, just don’t ask everything you want to know in the ticket window. There might be along queue already and other passengers might get really pissed at you. - Before going to the ticket window for your train ticket, make a checklist and check if you already have the following details: train number, schedule of trip, the class, and the effective date of the travel. Also give information if you are buying a round trip or a one-way ticket. There are several European train operators that require seat reservations ahead of schedule.
