In Europe, the best means to travel across the region is through rail transport. As you can see, the continent is a mass of solid land and boundaries of countries are only set by borders. If you are traveling by trains though, you must make sure your luggage or backpacks are safe. There have been reported cases of robbery and theft that result from the uncaring ways and disorganization of passengers. The first tip when it comes to ensuring safety of backpacks and hand carry luggage is to make sure such things are always attended.
Do not leave your things unattended especially when the train is not yet moving. If the train has already started its course, you could easily slip if you want to go to the comfort room without thinking too much about your luggage. if you can’t help but sleep during the duration of the travel, it would be advisable if you would sleep hugging your backpack or using it as a pillow. This way, no one could attempt to rob you of your luggage even while you sleep. On top of it all, beware of pickpockets and artful dodgers. Incidences of such thieves are rare, but in case, beware of people you meet in the rail travel.
